🚨 Pennsylvania State Police Continue Search for Answers in 1986 Schuylkill County Cold Case
Pennsylvania State Police are continuing to investigate the 1986 death of an unidentified young woman whose body was discovered in a wooded area west of Interstate 81 South in Kline Township, Schuylkill County. The victim was found on April 8, 1986, and investigators believe she had been deceased for several days prior to being located.
Authorities say the victim was a Black female believed to be between 17 and 23 years old. She was approximately 5’3” tall, weighed around 108 pounds, and had black hair, brown eyes, and a small scar on her right cheek. Police said she was found nude but was wearing a distinctive silver-colored friendship ring with a hexagon edge and Florentine-style finish.
As part of the ongoing investigation, a facial reconstruction created by a forensic artist with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has been released, depicting what investigators believe the young woman may have looked like in life. A digital reconstruction of the ring recovered with her has also been shared in hopes that someone may recognize it.
🚨 A $5,000 reward is being offered for information that could help identify the victim or solve the case.
