Caitlin Marie Denison was only 19 years old when she mysteriously disappeared after traveling from Reno, Nevada to Midland, Texas in January 2018.

In 2017, Caitlin met a man in Reno who reportedly worked as a truck driver in the Permian Basin oil industry. About six months later, on January 9, 2018, she boarded a flight with him to Texas. Before leaving, Caitlin never shared the man’s name or much information about him with her family.

Shortly after arriving in Texas, Caitlin began expressing fear. In one chilling message to her sister, she reportedly said:
“This guy makes me scared for my life.”

Authorities believe Caitlin and the man were staying together in his RV, which had initially been parked in West Odessa before later being moved to an area south of the IH-20/Loop 250 highway in Midland.

On January 10 and 11, Caitlin contacted friends and relatives while at the Walmart located at 4517 North Midland Drive in Midland. During those conversations, she again stated that she feared for her safety.

Investigators believe Caitlin and the man later visited a Domino’s Pizza on Linda Avenue in Odessa before going to Rick’s Cabaret, where Caitlin may have been searching for employment. After that, she vanished without a trace.

Caitlin has never been seen or heard from again.

The man she traveled with was later identified and questioned by investigators, but authorities have not publicly named him as a suspect. He is no longer believed to be in the Midland area.

Years later, Caitlin’s disappearance remains unsolved, and her loved ones continue searching for answers about what happened to her.
