Lost to the Storm: The Disappearance of Robert Allen Alexander 🌊
Seventeen-year-old Robert Allen Alexander vanished without a trace on Thanksgiving Day, November 22, 1962, near Brigantine, New Jersey. What should have been a day spent with family and loved ones instead became the beginning of a heartbreaking mystery that remains unsolved more than six decades later.
Robert had gone duck hunting in a small 7-foot “pond box” boat, despite rough weather conditions along the waters of Atlantic County. He was wearing olive-drab foul weather gear and was described as a medium-slender young man, standing 5’10” tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds. At some point during that cold and stormy day, Robert disappeared. He never returned home, and no trace of him was ever found.
For his family, Thanksgiving has likely never been the same. While years have passed, the questions surrounding Robert’s fate remain unanswered. What happened to the young hunter who set out on the water that morning? Did the weather claim his life, or is there more to the story? His loved ones have spent decades without the closure they deserve.
Today, Robert’s case remains open, and investigators continue to seek answers. Anyone with information about the disappearance of Robert Allen Alexander is urged to contact the Brigantine Police Department at (609) 266-7414.
Help bring answers to a family that has been missing Robert since 1962.
