🌸🕊️ The Little Girl No One Has Claimed: Union County Jane Doe 

On February 25, 2001, an abandoned vehicle in Rahway, New Jersey became the heartbreaking final resting place of a baby girl who has never been identified.

Known only as Union County Jane Doe, she was a Black infant, estimated to have been only days to a few weeks old. Investigators determined that she had survived birth, living for at least a day, and possibly several weeks, before her death. Although there were no signs of foul play, the exact cause of her death remains undetermined.

Even in death, she was described with care. She weighed approximately 5 pounds, measured about 18 inches long, and had a recognizable face, brown eyes, and black hair with both straight and tightly curled strands. A 4-inch umbilical cord was still attached, a heartbreaking reminder of just how new her life had been.

She was found wrapped among several items that may hold the key to her identity:

• A light blue and yellow baby blanket embroidered with the letters “TLP” above “NOC.”
•  A white woven cloth measuring 12 x 17 inches.
• A light blue fitted sheet branded “Cuddle Time.”
•  A black “Surge” canvas item.
•  A navy blue West Point Stevens twin-sized sheet.
•  A lavender Stevens cotton towel.
• A light gray Federal Express duffel bag with double side pockets.

For over 25 years, this little girl has remained nameless. Somewhere, someone may recognize the blanket, the bag, or remember a pregnancy that suddenly ended without explanation. Even the smallest memory could help investigators give this child the one thing she never received in life, a name.
