🌧️💔He Lost His Life… But He Still Has No Name

On October 15, 2001, a young Hispanic man lost his life after being struck by a vehicle while walking along FDR Drive near the Triborough Bridge in the Bronx, New York. More than two decades later, he remains unidentified, known only as John Bronx Doe 2001. Somewhere, someone may still be searching for a son, a brother, a friend, or a loved one who never came home.

Investigators believe he was between 17 and 25 years old at the time of his death. He stood approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighed around 143 pounds, and had brown eyes, straight black hair about two inches long, along with a sparse mustache and goatee. Although his identity has remained a mystery for over 20 years, a facial reconstruction created by a forensic artist with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) offers a glimpse of what he may have looked like in life, in the hope that someone will recognize him.

Everyone deserves to be known by their name and remembered by the people who love them. After all these years, investigators continue to seek answers, hoping that one phone call could finally restore this young man’s identity and bring long-awaited closure to those who may still be wondering where he is.
