On May 28, 1979, the body of an unidentified young man was discovered in the woods of Bear Creek Township, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. His case remains unsolved, and investigators still hope someone may recognize a detail that could help identify him.

About Him:
• Estimated age: 17–22 years old
• Height: Approximately 5’10”
• Weight: Approximately 180 lbs
• Hair: Brown
• Estimated year of death: 1979
• Estimated time since death: Approximately 10 days

Clothing:
• Black long-sleeved shirt
• Tan trousers with white pinstripes
• White underwear
• Black socks
• White socks with a second pair of black socks over them
• Black loafers

Jewelry — Could This Be the Clue?
He was wearing a sterling silver bracelet with “Vedon” marked on the clasp. Investigators believe it may have been an AVEDON bracelet, with the “A” appearing to have been worn away.
He also wore a 14K gold ring featuring a serpent design on his right pinky finger. The jewelry was believed to have been made in New York.

His Discovery:
Two men found him while walking through the woods looking for a fishing hole. He was fully clothed except for one shoe, which appeared to have come off when he was thrown from the road down an embankment.
