Carol Anne Gemmiti was 66 years old when she disappeared while on a family vacation in Ossipee, New Hampshire, on September 27, 2024.
Two years later, Carol is still missing, and her family is still waiting for answers.

Carol was staying with her husband, Donald, at a family cottage in the area of Broad Bay and Leavitt Bay. That morning, she went for a walk and was last seen in the area of 39 and 41 Bay Point Road.
She never came back.
What makes the disappearance especially puzzling is that Carol left behind her cellphone and personal belongings. According to her husband, she had no money or identification with her when she left.
Carol was not familiar with the area.
🔎Carol is described as:
• White/Caucasian female
• 5’7” tall
• Approximately 120 pounds
• Gray or partially gray hair
• Hazel eyes
• 68 years old today
She was last seen wearing gray sweatpants and a blue knit sweater that came to approximately mid-thigh.
🚗 Carol and her husband had rented a red 2024 Hyundai Sonata from Enterprise at Pease Airport in Portsmouth. The vehicle was later returned on October 2, 2024.
🌊 Extensive searches have been conducted over the past two years, including searches of the surrounding area and Ossipee Lake. K-9 teams, sonar, local and state authorities, and the Civil Air Patrol have all been involved in efforts to locate Carol.
Most recently, on September 16, 2026, the New Hampshire Fish and Game Dive Team returned to Ossipee Lake to conduct another extensive search in the area connected to Carol’s disappearance.
Unfortunately, no clues to her whereabouts were discovered.
Carol’s family has endured two years of uncertainty, but her husband has continued to hold onto hope.
