🔎 Missing Person: Fay Johnson

Fay Johnson was 62 years old when she disappeared from Maine in March 2012. More than a decade later, her family is still waiting for answers.

📍 Last Known Whereabouts

Fay was last seen in the Lewiston/Auburn area on March 12, 2012. She also had ties to Bethel, where she had been moving into a rental home.

According to investigators, Fay was last seen alive while moving her belongings into the Bethel residence around March 7, 2012. Her disappearance remains unsolved.

❤️ A Woman Who Needed Medical Care

Fay had serious medical and mental health conditions and required medication. She had a pacemaker and wore a medical alert bracelet or necklace identifying her as a pacemaker patient.

Investigators described Fay as medically vulnerable at the time she disappeared.

She also had a therapy dog. Her dog was later found running around her apartment, while Fay was nowhere to be found.

Fay reportedly left behind her purse, identification, and cellphone. She did not have a vehicle and relied on friends for transportation between Bethel and Lewiston.

🔍 The Search

Authorities conducted searches around Fay’s home but did not find evidence that revealed what happened to her.

In the months following her disappearance, family members distributed flyers and held balloon releases in her honor while continuing to search for information.

Investigators received reports of possible sightings, including possible sightings in Biddeford and at a grocery store in York. Authorities reviewed available video, but investigators said it did not provide useful information.

Maine State Police have said there is no identified suspect in Fay’s disappearance.

More than a decade has passed, but investigators and Fay’s loved ones continue to hope that someone may have information that could help determine what happened to her.
