On March 1, 2023, an unidentified woman died after being transported to a Miami hospital.
More than three years later, authorities are still working to confirm her identity.
According to investigators, she was a Haitian migrant who was being transported by boat when the vessel was intercepted at sea by the U.S. Coast Guard and Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office on February 26, 2023.
She and the other passengers were detained aboard the vessel pending their return to Haiti.
While still at sea, she began experiencing abdominal pain on March 1. She initially declined medical treatment and assessment, but later became unresponsive.
She was transported to the University of Miami Hospital, where she died shortly after arriving.
💔 Someone May Be Searching for Her
Investigators believe she may have been known as Guerline Tulus, but her identity has not been confirmed.
She was an adult Black/African American woman, believed to be under 60 years old.
Her physical description includes:
- Approximately 5’5” tall
- Approximately 140 pounds
- Black hair
- Brown eyes
Her face was recognizable, which may provide an important opportunity for someone who knew her to recognize her.
