๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธ Still Missing: What Happened to Oded โ€œDettiโ€ Gordon? ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ”Ž

On May 12, 1989, 21-year-old Oded Gordon went missing from Plowshare Farm, part of the Lyris Foundation in Greenfield, New Hampshire. More than 37 years later, his fate remains unknown.

Known by the nickname Detti, Oded had lived at the farm for approximately six weeks. The facility supported autistic and intellectually disabled young adults, and staff reportedly said he had been making significant progress during his time there.

That day, Oded was working in the garden when flies reportedly began bothering him. He left the area, and his caregivers believed he was going to sit in a car. However, he never reached it, and no confirmed trace of him has been found.

Oded was autistic, had anemia, and had a pronounced hunched posture due to scoliosis. He also experienced significant difficulty communicating with others. Despite these challenges, he showed academic promise as a child, earning good grades, particularly in mathematics, and winning awards for his work in various languages, even though he could not speak them. He had also endured bullying at school before eventually leaving.

When last seen, Oded had no coat, identification, or money with him. He was described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing between 135 and 170 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, a mustache, and a sparse beard. He was believed to be wearing a red plaid or checkered flannel shirt, new blue jeans, and knee-high black rubber work boots.

Search dogs followed his scent for approximately three miles along Route 31 before the trail abruptly ended. Investigators considered whether he may have accepted a ride from a passing motorist. Possible sightings were later reported in Merrimack, New Hampshire, and Fitchburg and Lunenburg, Massachusetts, but none were confirmed. Originally from New York, Oded may have been attempting to return there.

Today, Oded would be 58 years old. Someone may remember seeing him after that May day or have information that was never shared with authorities. Even a seemingly minor detail could help investigators learn what happened.

๐Ÿ”Ž Do you remember Oded, known as Detti, or have information about his time at Plowshare Farm or his possible travels through New Hampshire, Massachusetts, or New York?
