πŸ•ŠοΈπŸ’” 67 Years Without Answers: The Disappearance of Adele Marie Wells 🌸

Adele Marie Wells was just seven years old when she disappeared from Flint, Michigan, on November 21, 1958. What began as a simple visit to her grandmother became a mystery that has remained unsolved for nearly 68 years.

Born on January 1, 1951, Adele was a second-grade student at Jefferson Elementary School. She lived with her parents, three sisters and three brothers and was part of a family of nine.

On the morning she vanished, Adele stayed home from school because she had a slight cold. Later, she walked the short distance to her grandmother’s home, just one block away. She wanted to show her grandmother how her mother had styled her hair.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., Adele left her grandmother’s residence. She never made it home or arrived at school. Her mother initially believed she had begun feeling better and decided to attend the remainder of the school day. When Adele still had not returned, police were notified at approximately 5 p.m.

A massive search followed, with more than 1,000 people joining the effort.

Investigators received several reports that raised serious concerns. Witnesses described a young, light-skinned African American man carrying a little girl near a dirty black Chevrolet with a damaged front fender on Lewis Street, near Gilkey Creek. The man was reportedly wearing a gray coat and red socks. Other children from Adele’s school said a man matching that description had attempted to lure them into his vehicle before she disappeared. Despite these reports, the man was never identified.

Additional accounts suggested Adele may have been seen entering a vehicle with two men near her school. Another child reported seeing a man striking a little girl in nearby woods. Neither account could be verified, and conflicting reports from other children were discounted by police.

Adele’s disappearance is believed to have been a non-family abduction, but no suspect has ever been identified, and her fate remains unknown.

In September 2014, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children released an age-progressed image showing what Adele might have looked like at 63 years old, offering a glimpse of the little girl she once was as investigators continued seeking answers.

πŸ’” Adele was only seven when she vanished after visiting her grandmother. Nearly seven decades later, her story deserves to remain in the public eye. Someone may remember something that could finally help explain what happened to her.
