The Missing Nick Zizzamia

Nicholas Peter Zizzamia
Camden County, New Jersey

Nicholas Peter Zizzamia left his parents’ house in Cherry Hill on May 12, 1979, to drive to Villanova University in Pennsylvania to pick up tickets for their graduation ceremony on May 12. He was a senior accounting major at the university at the time. He never showed up at the university. When his parents attended the ceremony, their son was not there. He has never been heard from again. The vehicle Nicholas was last seen driving was found parked and locked behind his father’s business, a barbershop on Grove Street, in Cherry Hill, on May 15, three days after his disappearance. Nothing suspicious was found inside the car. He was last seen wearing a tan sweater with blue jeans and white sneakers. Nicholas is a white male, standing at 5’11” and weighing 290 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes. His date of birth is listed as October 30, 1956.
Nicholas never used his driver’s license, his Social Security number or his credit card after his disappearance.
One theory that has been brought forward was that Nicholas may have committed suicide or left on his own accord; his friends stated he was unhappy with his life and had spoken about wanting to vanish.
Nicholas was an only child. His parents hired a private detective to try and find him, but without success. His mother died in 2003 and his father died in 2012. His case remains unsolved.
