The Missing
Robert Jones
Case #: 1906-0377
Atlantic County
Robert Jones was 47 years old when he disappeared around May 16, 2019 in Atlantic County, New Jersey. He was not reported missing by his family until June 8, 2019 when it was finally realized that Robert had not been seen or heard from by anyone in his apartment complex for a few weeks.
He was last seen around the area of his home, at Jeffries Towers in the 200 block of North Vermont Avenue. He is a black male, 6’3 inches tall and weighs around 260 lbs. with black hair and brown eyes. His date of birth is listed as April 27, 1972. He has moles that cover his face, sometimes wears glasses, and has medical issues that leave him confused and disoriented. His family is worried that he has not had the medication he needs and could be suffering as a result. Robert is known to frequent the boardwalk, fast food restaurants and local parks. A silver alert was issued.
Robert’s family has tried hospitals, jails and organized search parties to find him, with no success. A family member has been quoted saying “We’re beginning to think that maybe something has happened to him.”
In September of 2019, a tip was received that Robert had been spotted in the area of the New Jersey Transit bus station at Ohio and Atlantic Avenues. This lead was followed up on, but ultimately led police nowhere.
Robert is still missing.
