🎣🕵️‍♂️ The Disappearance of Robert and Stephen Harris 🕯️🚗

Robert W. Harris, 21, disappeared on November 5, 1985, from Jamestown, Rhode Island, along with his 20-year-old brother, Stephen Harris. The two left a note at their home saying they were going fishing at Fort Wetherill State Park and planned to return by 4 p.m. When they didn’t come back, their father became concerned and went to the park to look for them. He discovered their car parked and locked near the fishing area, with a fishing pole and bait container left behind on the rocks by the water. Despite these findings, there was no sign of either brother, and they have never been seen again.

At the time, Robert was described as a white male, about 5’11” tall and weighing around 172 pounds, with brown hair. Details about his clothing and eye color are unknown, though one of the brothers was known to often wear a red vest. DNA is available for Robert, but dental and fingerprint records are not. Stephen was described as a white male, approximately 5’5” and 150 pounds, also with brown hair; his eye color and clothing are unknown, and while DNA efforts are underway, dental and fingerprint records are unavailable.

Robert had recently returned to Rhode Island after serving in the United States Marine Corps, where he had enlisted in 1982 following his graduation from North Kingstown High School. He served with the 2nd Marine Division and participated in training exercises overseas before leaving the military in September 1985. Shortly after returning home and planning to begin a new chapter of his life, he vanished alongside his brother. Some believe rough weather conditions may have contributed to an accidental fall into the water, possibly leading to drowning, but no bodies were ever recovered. Their disappearance remains unsolved, leaving behind unanswered questions for their family and those who knew them.
