Someone Knows His Name: Help Identify John Brooklyn Doe 🔎
On July 12, 2025, the life of a young man came to a heartbreaking end near the Williamsburg Bridge in Brooklyn, New York. Found unresponsive and rushed to a nearby hospital, he was sadly pronounced deceased. While investigators have worked to uncover his identity, he remains known only as John Brooklyn Doe 2025 (NamUs #147931). Somewhere, someone may be wondering where he is, unaware that he has been waiting to be brought home.
Authorities believe he was a Hispanic male between 15 and 22 years old, standing approximately 5’4″ tall and weighing 161 pounds. He had black hair, a short goatee, crooked upper front teeth, and multiple small circular scars across his chest, back, and shoulders, possibly the result of cystic acne. To help give him back his identity, a forensic artist with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children created a facial approximation showing what he may have looked like in life. It is hoped that someone will recognize his face and finally put a name to it.
Every unidentified person leaves behind unanswered questions. Friends, family members, classmates, neighbors, or coworkers may still be searching, hoping for a phone call or a clue. No one should remain nameless, and every family deserves the chance to know what happened to someone they love.
If you recognize this young man or have any information that could help identify him, please contact the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner at 212-447-2030. One shared photo could be the key to restoring his name and giving his loved ones the answers they deserve. 🕊️
