💔 Her Story

On October 14, 2005, a heartbreaking discovery was made inside the chimney of an apartment complex in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Hidden away for years, the skeletal remains of an unidentified woman were found inside a chimney that had once served as an incinerator in the 1960s before being permanently sealed.

Investigators believe she was born sometime between 1965 and 1980. She was petite, standing about 5’2″, with dark brown hair that extended past her shoulders. She had previously given birth to at least one child, meaning someone may still be wondering what happened to a mother, daughter, sister, or friend.

She had extensive dental work, including reconstructed porcelain teeth and a distinctive partial dental plate. Experts believe the dental work may have been completed either in the Caribbean or by a dentist in the Northeastern United States who had Caribbean training. Through forensic genetic genealogy, investigators have determined that her ancestry traces back to Brazil.

When she was found, she was wearing:

• Cherokee brand denim stretch pants (size 12A)
• Beige Jolie Intimates underwear (size Medium)
• White socks
• Red plastic fingernails

She had no known scars, tattoos, or healed broken bones.
