On April 8, 2025, the body of an unidentified young man was recovered from Reynolds Channel in Island Park, New York. Investigators believe he was only 15 to 20 years old and estimate that he had been deceased for at least six months before he was found. Though his identity remains unknown, one thing is certain, he was someone’s son, someone’s friend, and someone who deserved to be known, remembered, and loved.

The young man was described as being of African American ancestry, approximately 5’4″ tall, and was wearing a beige T-shirt featuring the words “ARCH,” “Mauro Mazzocchi,” “Charming Wonderful Personality,” a large “S” with stars, and “Simplicity” written in cursive. He was also wearing Gucci Batman and Superman boxer briefs and black cargo joggers with tactical pockets. A facial reconstruction created by a forensic artist with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) has been released to show what he may have looked like during his life, offering hope that someone will recognize him.
