On February 6, 2020, 28-year-old Cieha Annette Taylor disappeared without a trace from Plant City, Florida, leaving behind a mystery that has haunted her loved ones for years. That afternoon, around 4:00 p.m., Cieha dropped her boyfriend Jason off at a residence on Cowart Road before driving away. It was the last confirmed time anyone saw her. Just three hours later, at approximately 7:00 p.m., her black two-door 2000 Toyota Solara was discovered abandoned on railroad tracks near East Trapnell Road, only about a mile away. The car was unlocked, the engine was still running, and nearly everything she owned that day remained behind. Her purse, wallet, debit card, keys, and other belongings were inside the vehicle, while her cellphone was found on the ground nearby. There was no sign of Cieha.
In a heartbreaking twist, responding officers moved the vehicle off the railroad tracks but did not immediately notify her family or report it as belonging to a missing person. By the time her loved ones learned where her car had been found and officially reported her missing, precious time had already passed. Despite extensive searches involving law enforcement, K-9 teams, helicopters, and volunteers, no trace of Cieha was ever found.
Then, nearly three weeks later, another chilling discovery deepened the mystery. Cieha’s tan knee-high boots were found resting on a drainage pipe near the same road where her car had been abandoned, directly beneath a telephone pole displaying a missing-person flyer with her face on it. The area had already been searched multiple times, leading her mother, Canitha Taylor, to believe the boots were deliberately placed there after Cieha disappeared. To her family, it felt less like a clue and more like a cruel reminder that someone may know exactly what happened.
Cieha’s loved ones describe her as a woman who loved life despite facing difficult challenges. She had struggled with addiction in the past, but according to those closest to her, she had been working hard to rebuild her life before she vanished. She was employed at a local call center, remained close to her family, and they insist she would never willingly disappear or go this long without contacting them.
