The Nameless
Washington Township NJ Jane Doe (1986)

🕊️💔 40 Years Later: Can You Help Identify This Baby? 💔🕊️
A decades-old mystery in New Jersey may still have answers waiting to be found.
On the morning of December 4, 1986, the remains of a full-term newborn baby girl were discovered in a dumpster behind a shopping center near Ganttown Road and Route 42 in Washington Township, New Jersey (Turnersville).
The infant was approximately 7 pounds, with black or brown hair and brown eyes. Investigators determined that her death was a homicide by asphyxiation.
She was found inside a silver plastic trash bag, wrapped in a beach towel featuring an African plains scene.
She became known as Baby Gloucester County Jane Doe.
The FBI Philadelphia Field Office and Gloucester County law enforcement are asking for the public’s help.
Someone may remember a pregnancy, a missing newborn, a family story, a distinctive towel, or another detail from 1986 that could help investigators finally give this little girl her name.
Even after all these years, one person remembering one detail could make a difference. If you have any further information, please contact the Philadelphia FBI Office at 215-418-4000 or you can send an email to tips.fbi.gov.
