👤 Miguel A. Oliveras, known as “Mickey,” was 24 years old.

Nearly 20 years ago, Miguel Oliveras traveled from his home in Boston’s Hyde Park neighborhood to Portland, Maine. He never made it home.

Miguel was last seen around 1:00 a.m. outside the former Platinum Plus nightclub on Riverside Street in Portland. Surveillance footage reportedly captured him leaving the club and walking into the parking lot with another man whose identity is known to investigators.

That was the last confirmed sighting of Miguel.

🔎 WHO WAS MIGUEL?

• 24 years old when he disappeared
• 5’11” and approximately 170 pounds
• Black hair and brown eyes
• Hispanic male
• American
• Father of two children
• Tattoos on his right hand, both arms, back, neck and shoulder

Miguel was last seen wearing:

• A gray and white camouflage-print long-sleeved shirt
• A white long-sleeved T-shirt
• Dark green cargo shorts
• Sneakers

💔 A FAMILY HAS WAITED FOR ANSWERS

Miguel’s mother, Myrna Gonzalez, has spent nearly two decades wondering what happened to her son.

She says Miguel was someone who stayed in daily contact with her, and his disappearance was completely out of character.

“I miss him. I just want to bring him home. That was my best friend, my son.”

Myrna continues to ask anyone who knows something to speak up so she can finally bring her son home and give him a proper burial.

🔎 INVESTIGATORS BELIEVE MIGUEL WAS KILLED

Authorities have said they believe Miguel was killed and that his body was disposed of somewhere, but his remains have never been found.

Investigators have identified three suspects/persons of interest in the case. According to authorities, only one is still alive.

Police have spent years following leads, examining records and conducting searches, including searches near the Rock Row quarry and other areas around southern Maine.

Now, investigators say they have developed new leads and a working theory about where Miguel may be.

🐕 A NEW SEARCH IS PLANNED

Authorities have narrowed down areas they want to search and are preparing for another search for Miguel’s remains. Trained cadaver dogs, specialized equipment and forensic experts may be involved.

💰 REWARD INCREASED TO $25,000

The FBI is now offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the recovery of Miguel Oliveras.
