Rosa Marie Camacho, lovingly known as “Rosita” or “Rosie,” was only 4 years old when she disappeared from Hartford, Connecticut, on October 24, 1997.
Nearly three decades have passed.
Rosa has never been found. 🕊️
On that October afternoon, Rosa left home with her 21-year-old mother, Rosa Delgado, to walk to a grocery store on Madison Avenue. They were reportedly going to get diapers and milk.
They never came home.
💔 Rosa’s mother was later found deceased in Columbia Lake in western New Jersey. Her remains were initially unidentified, and she was known as the “Lady in the Lake.” DNA testing eventually confirmed her identity.
But Rosa was nowhere to be found.

Rosa’s photograph has been age-progressed to show what she may look like today. She would now be 33 years old.
🔎 Authorities have continued investigating Rosa’s disappearance and her mother’s homicide. Various leads and theories have been reported over the years, including the possibility that Rosa may have been taken elsewhere, but her whereabouts remain unknown.
The FBI is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to Rosa’s recovery and/or the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for her disappearance.
