🚨 MISSING SINCE 1982 – TWO MEN, ONE ABANDONED CORVETTE, AND 44 YEARS OF QUESTIONS🚨

📅 Last seen: September 13, 1982

On September 13, 1982, 27-year-old William M. Garlick and 33-year-old John V. J. Joyce left Worcester, Massachusetts, headed for Alton, Maine.

According to Maine State Police, the two men were reportedly traveling to Maine to collect a $22,000 debt. They were driving a black 1980 Chevrolet Corvette, Massachusetts registration 512-EVZ. 🚗

But they never made it home.

The next day, September 14, 1982, their Corvette was discovered abandoned in the parking lot of the Bangor Mall in Bangor, Maine.

And investigators found some troubling details:

⚠️ The ignition had been torn apart.
⚠️ The interior of the Corvette had also been torn apart.
👛 William Garlick’s wallet was found inside the vehicle.
❓ Neither Garlick nor Joyce was ever seen again.

There is also an unusual identifying detail concerning Joyce: case information indicates that he had been involved in a motorcycle accident shortly before his disappearance, resulting in injuries involving his hips and hands. He was reported to have pins in those areas and was believed to have had his spleen removed. 

🕰️ 44 YEARS WITHOUT ANSWERS

Garlick and Joyce were never seen again after their trip to Maine.

The circumstances surrounding their disappearance have generated questions for decades, but no one has been publicly charged in connection with their disappearance, according to available case reporting. 

Maine State Police continue to list both men as missing.
