On October 14, 2014, 58-year-old Richard J. Blanchette disappeared from Claremont, New Hampshire. One day, he was part of his community, known to walk around the area he called home. Then, he vanished without a trace.

💔 Richard lived in the 200 block of Broad Street in Claremont. He did not own a vehicle or have a cellphone at the time he went missing. Instead, he was known to get around on foot, walking through Claremont and along the Sugar River Rail Trail. Investigators believe he may have been walking in the direction of Newport, New Hampshire, when he disappeared.
🕯️ Richard was 58 years old when he was last seen. He was described as a white male with gray hair and brown eyes, standing approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing around 200 pounds. He also had multiple medical conditions, although the specific conditions and whether they were being treated at the time of his disappearance are unclear.
His case is classified as endangered missing, making continued awareness and the sharing of information especially important.
