ππ VANISHED ON THE WAY TO CLASS: The Disappearance of Eddy Segall π§©π°οΈ
On June 15, 1977, 28-year-old Eddy Milta Segall disappeared after leaving her home in Nashua, New Hampshire, to attend an exercise class at Women’s World in nearby Merrimack. She borrowed a light green, two-door 1969 Oldsmobile from the couple she lived with, but she never arrived at class or returned home.
Eddy had moved from Florida to New Hampshire just a few months earlier, reportedly with the promise of a job and a place to live. Her new life was only beginning when she vanished without a trace.
π² On July 3, more than two weeks after Eddy disappeared, the borrowed Oldsmobile was discovered abandoned on a logging road in Hollis, about a mile and a half off Wheeler Road. The keys were lying in the road approximately 150 feet behind the vehicle.
Some belongings remained inside, including a black leotard and towel on the front seat, along with a crushed leather cowboy hat in the back. The car’s owner identified the hat as his and said he rarely wore it. He also reported that the vehicle was wet and muddy when returned, had sustained damage, and was missing its hubcaps.
Investigators found no sign of Eddy at the scene. Searches of the surrounding woods and a nearby pond also failed to uncover evidence that revealed her whereabouts. Authorities suspected that someone else may have been involved in leaving the car at that remote location, possibly with another vehicle following it into the woods.
π WHAT HAPPENED TO EDDY?
Born in New Jersey, Eddy had previously lived in Tampa, Florida, before relocating to Nashua. She was reportedly dating two local men at the time of her disappearance, although publicly available information does not establish whether either was considered a suspect.
Investigators believe Eddy may have been the victim of a homicide and have theorized that her remains could be buried near where the Oldsmobile was found. However, her body has never been recovered, and she was later declared legally dead.
Eddy was 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighed approximately 118 pounds. She had dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and a scar extending from her navel toward her groin. Possible tattoos include the name βNoahβ on her right shoulder, a flower on her lower abdomen, and a butterfly in an unknown location.
When she disappeared, she was wearing a white jersey tank top, blue jeans, and rubber shower sandals. She was carrying a brown shoulder-strap pocketbook.
ποΈ Eddy’s disappearance remains unresolved, and her father has continued to hope for answers. Somewhere, information about what happened after she left for class may still exist.
