💔🕊️ 46 Years Missing: New Age-Progression Image Released for Rachael Garden 🔎
More than 46 years after 15-year-old Rachael Elizabeth Garden disappeared in Newton, New Hampshire, investigators are renewing their appeal for information with a new age-progression image showing what she might look like today. Now 61, Rachael has never been found.
On March 22, 1980, Rachael stopped at Rowe’s Corner Market on Route 108, where she purchased cigarettes and chewing gum. Between approximately 9:00 and 9:30 p.m., she left the store and began walking to a friend’s home on North Main Street, where she planned to spend the night. She never arrived.
Her family reported her missing the following morning, and an extensive search failed to uncover any clues to her whereabouts. Rachael had left nearly all her belongings at home, including her dental retainer. Her family also noted that she owned a horse and would not ordinarily have left the animal unattended.
The oldest of four children, Rachael was a freshman at Sanborn Regional High School. Her loved ones described her as outspoken, friendly, fun-loving, and occasionally rebellious. She was just 15, with her future ahead of her, when she vanished without explanation.
🚨 Investigators have explored several theories, including abduction and foul play. Rachael was reportedly seen speaking with three male acquaintances near the market on the night she disappeared.
Years later, an alleged confession by one of the men prompted police to search a location off Route 108 for her remains. Nothing was found, and authorities have never established whether any of the men were involved.
Although Rachael was initially considered a possible runaway, investigators continue to examine other possibilities. No confirmed evidence has established what happened after she left the market.
🔎 The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Cold Case Unit has released an updated age-progression image to help the public recognize Rachael as she might appear today. Investigators hope advances in technology and new information from the community could bring fresh leads.
