🥀🏡 A Goffstown Mystery: The Unsolved Murders of Deborah and David Carreau
On May 19, 1993, a devastating discovery was made inside a home at 51 Warren Avenue in Goffstown, New Hampshire. Deborah Carreau, 36, and her husband, David Carreau, 32, had both been murdered. More than three decades later, their killings remain unsolved, and no one has been held accountable.
The couple had been married for 13 years and had built a life together. David was an Air Force veteran, while Deborah worked as a hairstylist. Together, they were raising two young children whose lives were forever changed by the events of that day.
In one of the most heartbreaking details of the case, the couple’s children had just returned home from school when their son discovered his parents’ bodies. A family home that should have been a place of safety was suddenly the scene of an unimaginable tragedy.
Both Deborah and David died from multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators have spent years trying to determine who was responsible and why the couple was targeted.
Police sources reportedly identified a man who later served jail time on unrelated charges as a suspect during the 1990s. However, no one has ever been arrested or charged in connection with the murders.
Deborah and David were more than victims in an unsolved investigation. They were parents, spouses, and members of their community. Their two children lost both parents in a single devastating day, and the questions surrounding their deaths have remained unanswered for decades.
