💔 STILL MISSING: What Happened to 13-Year-Old Deborah Lee “Debbie” Spickler? 💔

On July 24, 1968, 13-year-old Deborah Lee Spickler disappeared from Vernon, Connecticut, while visiting relatives. More than 58 years later, what happened to her remains unknown.

Known affectionately as Debbie, Deborah lived in Mystic, Connecticut, but was staying with her aunt and uncle in Vernon that summer.

That afternoon, Debbie was walking with her cousin from Foxhill Drive toward the swimming pool at Henry Park on South Street. When the girls realized they didn’t have any towels, Debbie’s cousin went back to get some.

When she returned, Debbie was gone.

She was never seen again.

In a detail that makes this case especially heartbreaking, Deborah’s mother received a birthday card from her daughter on the very same day she disappeared. Debbie had written that she was being good and helping her aunt.

Very little information is available about the circumstances surrounding her disappearance, and investigators have never determined what happened after she was last seen.

At the time, Debbie was 5’5″ tall and weighed approximately 125 pounds. She had brown hair, brown eyes, a pockmark on her face, and one chipped tooth.

She was wearing a white sleeveless shirt, homemade dark green polka-dot shorts without pockets, and white low-top sneakers.

💔 Deborah would be 71 years old today.

Could someone remember seeing Debbie at Henry Park that afternoon? Has someone held onto information that could help investigators uncover what happened?
