🕊️💜 Still Waiting to Be Found: The Disappearance of Bianca Lily Jones
On December 2, 2011, two-year-old Bianca Lily Jones disappeared in Detroit, Michigan. More than a decade later, her remains have never been recovered.
Bianca, affectionately nicknamed “Bacon” and “Bebe,” was reportedly in the back seat of her father’s silver 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis when he claimed the vehicle was carjacked near Brush and Custer Streets. He told authorities that two unknown men took the car while Bianca was still strapped into her car seat.
The vehicle was recovered approximately ten minutes later, still running, in an alley between Euclid and Philadelphia. Bianca was nowhere to be found, and an extensive search failed to locate her.
As investigators examined the circumstances, evidence led them to focus on Bianca’s father, D’Andre Lane. He was charged in 2012 and later found guilty of felony murder and first-degree child abuse. He received a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole, although he continues to maintain his innocence.
Despite the conviction, Bianca’s remains have never been located. Her family is still waiting for the opportunity to bring her home.
